❄️ January 2026 — Reset, Refresh, and Ready to Grow
After the holidays, we didn’t jump straight back into growing.
Instead… we hit pause.
Not because we’re slowing down — but because we want to make everything perfect.
January at Oh Micro! is all about resetting, refreshing, and starting the year clean (literally).
🛑 Annual Deep Clean Mode Activated
Once a year, we empty the entire facility for our Annual Deep Clean.
And we don’t mean a quick tidy-up.
We mean:
✨ Every rack
✨ Every tray
✨ Every light fixture
✨ Every single corner
Sanitized. Scrubbed. Reset.
It’s a lot of work, but food safety and quality always come first. If we’re growing food for our community, we want the space to be spotless and production-ready.
Think of it as our farm’s version of a New Year reset button.
🌧️ Winter Outside… Perfect Spring Inside
We’ve heard the rumors… apparently, it’s cold, wet, and muddy out there? 😄
To be honest… we hadn’t noticed. 😉
While traditional farming battles January weather, our grow room forecast looks like this:
✅ Temperature: a cozy 21°C
✅ Precipitation: 0% chance of rain
✅ Mud level: none
One of the coolest things about indoor hydroponics is that we grow 365 days a year, no matter what the weather is doing outside.
Our microgreens just keep growing like it’s springtime. 🌱
♻️ Zero-Waste… With Some Very Happy Rabbits
Zero-waste doesn’t always look high-tech.
Sometimes… it looks like very happy rabbits. 🐰💚
At Oh Micro, we believe good food systems shouldn’t create unnecessary waste. So instead of sending our growing by-products to landfill, we repurpose them as supplemental animal feed.
Roots, stems, and trimmings get a second life — and the rabbits are pretty thrilled about it.
Sustainability doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes it’s just about making sure nothing good goes to waste.
🚚 Back to Deliveries
As soon as the deep clean wraps up, we’re right back to:
- Seeding trays
- Harvesting fresh greens
- Delivering across the Lower Mainland
- Supporting our retail partners and community donations
There’s something really satisfying about sending out the first harvest of the year. New year, fresh greens.
